As 2011 closes and we return to work in 2012, 6 months in to the EAOM venture, and we can already say that 2011 was a heck of a year. The year started with some of the current EAOM members being part of the Exact Abacus web team, however, the decision was taken to segment the department and to develop an agency, which would become EAOM.
Following some strong recruitment to bring in experienced agency-bods, we were finally able to launch with our (we believe) cool brand on the 1st August 2011.
Since that time we have evolved into a full service digital agency with a strong amount of clients, including, SilverByMail, Suttons Seeds, Stanfords, Natcol and Vet Medic. We have been able to boast good figures of websites going live, 15 in total, with another 20 in development currently. Our Online Marketing operation is progressing well with more clients signing up each week and audits going out frequently too.
Some of the stand out projects for the year were as follows:
Galaxy Football:
A well constructed small eCommerce website for a Football Kit supplier. One of the first projects under the new banner
Beyond Television:
A set of three websites developed from the same template all taking individual brands and look and feel. All of these are eCommerce, and have nice functionality including multi facet navigation and compare functionality
SilverByMail
: A classy site that was developed for silver jewellery retailer SilverByMail. The site needed to reflect the boutique nature of the business
Habitech:
A high tech product, translated to an uber-sleek website with some beautiful use of JQuery navigations.
The Printer Store
: Branding and eCommerce website both designed by EAOM, this was without doubt one of the top three standout projects of the year.
Natcol:
Two websites have been release for Natcol this year, the main Natcol eCommerce website, and the Bolton Wanderers version of the site. Both have a clean design with easy navigation throughout prescription and non prescription products.
All About Everything:
All About Everything have been launched/managing two websites with EAOM, All About Underlay and All About Contemporary Art. With more sites following in the New Year, including All About Mobility Ramps, All About Everything is heading from strength to strength
Suttons:
Fully packed eCommerce website, with links to SLI Systems for fully interactive search, designed and built by EAOM
Vet –Medic:
Veterinary medicine site for Derby based Vet-Medic. The site operates on a prescription and none prescription basis, allowing users to get all of the relevant medicines for their pets.
Dobies:
Horticultural website, for Devon based Dobies. Packed with great product imagery, a great example of how good imagery can make a simple site come to life.
Stanfords:
Sophisticated eCommerce website for leading travel book retailer, the Stanfords project was a real labour of love for both EAOM and Exact Abacus. The end result is a fully packed website, with intelligent search, multi facet navigation, and over 30,000 products.
Future Projects
Looking forward to 2012, we have got a number of exciting projects that are coming close to completion which you will hopefully see in the start of the new year.
All About Everything:
will be launching new websites in Q1 for Mobility Ramps and Mobility Bathing, expect to see more coming from them too as the year progresses.
Powerline:
in addition to the SEO and Social Media work that EAOM are managing, Powerline are due to launch new websites in Q1 of 2012. These are, in my opinion, some of the nicest designed sites that we have put out to date and am looking forward to seeing them live.
Manor:
EAOM are working on an updated website for Derby based pharmacists Manor Pharmacy. The website is principally a white label version of the Vet-Medic website that launched in November, with a few added bits of functionality. The website should be launching in Q1 2012.
Dorr:
A new website for German photography specialists DORR who’s UK operation is based in Sheffield. The new website will be launching in the early part of 2012.
Volcano:
A simple eCommerce website for Hampshire based jewellery retailer Volcano Jewellery which is due to be launching in January
AtoZMics:
Another Q1 launch, this time for a website by Studiospares which will be focusing on all things microphone. The website will be high in audio, visual, and review content.
Finally, two projects that are new brands that we are designing are:
YouGarden:
possibly the most exciting project that we have got coming up is YouGarden, a new brand which we have designed to accompany a new eCommerce website and full multi-channel advertising strategy. Ads will be in National newspapers, and on used on the shopping channels. In support to the eCommerce website, EAOM will also be managing all SEO, PPC, Link Building and Social Media.
Quikmo:
a new branding and lead generation website for a project which as yet cannot be disclosed. Should be launching Q1/Q2.
All in all, it can easily be said that 2011 was a strong launch year with 2012 looking like it is very much going to be the year of growth for EAOM.
